Tehila Zuroff, LLMSW

she/her

You deserve to feel empowered.

I am dedicated to assisting you in finding clarity, resilience, and the tools to reclaim control and navigate life’s challenges with true confidence.

Growing up, I always believed that every single person has a unique and valuable story that deserves to be heard and deeply understood. Within each person there is a beautiful array of experiences, feelings, thoughts, ideas, goals and dreams, encompassing all the ups and downs of life, as well as the intricate details that shape your personal journey. As a therapist, I feel privileged to be invited into your inner world, witnessing your strength, and I am committed to honoring the depth and significance of what you choose to share. My job is to create a truly safe space where you can feel comfortable being your whole authentic self.

No matter the challenges you may be facing, I am here to provide support and guidance as we navigate through them together in therapy. We can work collaboratively to understand the impact of these challenges on your life and identify skills and coping mechanisms that can aid in your journey. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, drawing from attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and mindfulness-based interventions.  Whether you’re navigating personal struggles, relationship issues, or life transitions, my goal is to empower you to discover insights, develop resilience, and embark on a path towards positive change

Therapy is a unique space where your concerns, whether big or small, are met with empathy and understanding. It’s a collaborative process aimed at unraveling the complexities of your experiences and providing you with new perspectives. You may find that the process involves both moments of reflection and moments of active exploration, as we work together to identify and understand the factors influencing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I see therapy as a partnership where we co-create a roadmap for your personal growth. It’s not just about addressing immediate challenges but also about fostering long-term resilience and well-being. Through our discussions, you may gain new insights into your beliefs, patterns, and coping strategies, empowering you to make positive changes in your life.

As your therapist, my role extends beyond simply offering guidance. It involves helping you build a toolbox of skills that you can carry with you beyond our sessions. These tools can be practical strategies for managing stress, effective communication techniques, or mindfulness practices, tailored to suit your preferences and lifestyle. Remember, therapy is a personalized journey, and your comfort is a priority. As we navigate through conversations and reflections, I’m here to ensure that the process aligns with your needs and goals. Together, we’ll work towards creating a journey where you feel comfortable and supported. We’ll just take one step at a time.

When you’re ready, please reach out. I would be so honored to meet you!

FAVORITE SELF-CARE

One of my go-to methods for self-care is listening to music, as it serves as a therapeutic escape, helping me unwind and shift my focus. Exercise is another big part of my self-care, whether it’s a brisk walk outdoors or a workout session, the physical activity makes me feel great. I also love talking to friends, just catching up or sharing thoughts and ideas, because it creates a support system and helps me feel more closely connected to others.

FUN FACTS

  • I have a twin sister!
  • I enjoy doing makeup.
  • I play piano.
  • I love listening to books on Audible.

LIFE MOTTOS

I love the phrase “It’s okay not to be okay” because it grants permission for vulnerability and authenticity. In a world that often emphasizes the need to appear strong and put together, this phrase reminds us that experiencing challenges, struggles, or emotions that aren’t positive is a natural part of being human. It encourages self-compassion and allows us to acknowledge difficulties without judgment.
