I'm here for YOU!

Entering therapy is like embarking on a journey, where my primary goal is to ensure that you are comfortable throughout this process. I’m committed to creating an environment where you are not just heard but truly seen – a space where the challenges you face are acknowledged and your emotions are validated with deep empathy. I understand that stepping into therapy can be both courageous and vulnerable, and I am here to create a safe, welcoming space where you can navigate this process at your own pace.

Building a strong therapeutic relationship is an essential part of our time together. I see therapy as a collaborative effort, a shared exploration where we work together to uncover the layers of your experiences. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, insights, and tools that empower you to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and hope. Your unique narrative is at the heart of our journey, and together, we’ll navigate the ebbs and flows with empathy and authenticity. I am here for all of it, and most importantly, I am here for you. I cherish the chance to witness your strength, your growth, and your inherent humanness.

Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, or personal growth goals, my goal is to provide tailored support that aligns with your needs and aspirations. Together, we can explore strategies and coping skills that resonate with you, ensuring that our sessions are both impactful and meaningful.

"I would recommend Shana to any teens or young adults who would benefit from having someone in their corner. She is the type of person that always looks out for people and has your true best interest at heart."
"Shana helps people find their voice. She cares so much about empowerment and resiliency and is always looking for ways of helping people through hard times. Shana really listens to you and wants you to feel in control."
“An excellent therapist for anyone who struggles with stress-management. Shana does amazing work helping people with problem-solving, building confidence, motivation, boundaries, communication, and more."

I primarily use Person-Centered Therapy, an approach that places YOU at the heart of the therapeutic process. In this framework, I operate from a deep respect for your autonomy, valuing your unique experiences, perspectives, and feelings. The focus is on creating a safe and empathetic space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without any judgment. Your well-being is at the forefront of our work together, and I’m here to guide you toward a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.

I also incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into our sessions, which focuses on the interconnected relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By examining and challenging negative thought patterns, we can identify and reshape them, helping you reach more positive emotional responses and patterns. CBT is particularly beneficial for those seeking concrete strategies to address specific issues, such as anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges.

Our work together will be tailored to your unique needs and preferences, combining the insights of person-centered and strengths-based approaches with the practical tools provided by CBT. I’m here to support you on your journey toward positive change, offering a holistic therapeutic experience that aligns with your goals and aspirations.

I would be sincerely honored to meet you and have the opportunity to be part of your journey. The decision to seek therapy is a huge step toward personal growth and self-discovery, and I am genuinely excited about the possibility of joining you on this transformative path. Let’s connect, share, and work collaboratively to cultivate positive change and resilience in your life.

FAVORITE SELF-CARE

Self-care is so important because it helps us feel good about ourselves and helps us manage stress effectively. For me, during the warmer months, I like to go for walks outside, feeling the sun and seeing everything bloom in the spring. During the winter, I usually join a fun dance exercise class indoors. I love listening to music, especially when I’m walking or dancing – it just makes everything more enjoyable. Taking care of myself is how I manage all the ups and downs through life. It helps me stay resilient and strong, ready to face whatever comes my way each day. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, cultivating warmth and laughter through each experience.

FUN FACTS

  • I love to ski! It’s an adventure that combines the energy of a good workout with the breathtaking beauty of snow-covered landscapes.
  • I love to dance and even though I may not be the best at it, dancing brings me so much joy and positivity. It’s also a fantastic stress reliever. I get to let go of any tension or negative feelings, and just move freely to the music.
  • I’m married to my wonderful husband and we have two awesome boys that keep us busy and having fun. I love watching my kids grow and learn each day!
