Healing begins with feeling heard. As long as we keep talking, there is always hope.
I’ve always been deeply curious about how the human mind works and how our thoughts and emotions shape our lives. I’ve seen time and again how life-changing therapy can be, not just in addressing challenges but in helping individuals rediscover hope and purpose. Therapy offers the opportunity to sit with someone who listens deeply and helps you gain a clearer understanding of yourself and your experiences. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your life and identify solutions that work for you — ones that feel authentic and achievable for you as an individual.
With over 34 years of doing this work, I’m often told that I’m easy to talk to, laidback, and approachable. When you step into therapy with me, you’ll find an open, supportive, and completely non-judgmental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind. My goal is to make therapy a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. I understand that life can be overwhelming at times, and I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate those challenges alone. I’m here to support you every step of the way, whether you’re facing significant struggles or simply want to explore what it means to live a more fulfilling and authentic life. There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing someone I work with begin to find hope and realize their own capacity for change.
Life is rarely straightforward, and it’s common to feel lost or uncertain at times. I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, grief, family issues, LGBTQIA+ experiences, spiritual concerns, and more. Each person I’ve worked with has brought their own unique story, and I consider it an honor to be trusted with the experiences they choose to share. Whether you’re coping with a significant loss, navigating the complexities of your identity, or trying to make sense of past trauma, therapy provides a supportive and compassionate environment for reflection, healing, and growth.
I focus on approaches that are tailored to each person’s needs and experiences. One of the ways I support clients is by helping them recognize their strengths. It’s often easy to get caught up in what feels wrong or overwhelming in life. Together, we’ll identify the qualities and resources you already have — your unique talents, skills, and inner strengths—and use those as building blocks for overcoming challenges and moving forward with confidence.
I also work with clients by drawing from psychoanalytic / psychodynamic theories, which aim to explore how past experiences may be shaping their present. This involves gently uncovering patterns, memories, and experiences from earlier in life that might still influence your thoughts, emotions, and relationships today. For many people, life is a mix of dynamics that can feel confusing or overwhelming at times. Therapy can help you make sense of these layers, connecting the dots between your inner world and how you experience the world around you. By understanding these connections, we can begin to address old wounds or habits that no longer serve you, creating space for healing and growth.
Through conversations and reflections, I help people explore the “why” behind their emotions and behaviors, which often leads to new insights and the ability to make meaningful changes. Each person’s journey is different, and therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we’ll figure out the approaches and tools that work best for you, creating a path toward the growth and healing you’re seeking.
In addition, for some people who may find comfort or inspiration in spirituality, I also offer a space to explore questions of meaning and purpose. Whether you’re navigating a spiritual crisis, working through religious challenges, or looking to incorporate your values and beliefs into your healing, this can be an important and fulfilling part of the therapeutic process. It’s all about helping you connect with what gives your life deeper meaning and grounding. Of course, not everyone will want or need to have a spiritual component to their therapy, and that is completely okay and understandable.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Next to reading and traveling, I love Netflix and Hulu. My favorite series are Abbott Elementary and Pose. In addition, I’m a big fan of chocolate PopTarts!
