I strive to create a therapy space that feels welcoming and easy to step into. We’ll work together to understand what’s been holding you back and where you’d like to go next.
I believe in holding a person-centered and collaborative stance, focusing on you as a whole person rather than just the challenges you’re facing. I care deeply about understanding your experiences, values, and goals, and I work to meet you where you are with compassion and curiosity. Many clients share that I’m easy to talk to and that sessions feel natural and engaging, which helps make therapy feel less overwhelming and more sustainable over time.
I take my work very seriously and genuinely enjoy what I do. I’ve known I wanted to become a therapist since middle school, after having a positive experience with therapy myself as a child. That early experience showed me how meaningful it can be to feel truly supported, and it continues to shape the way I show up for my clients today. My work is driven by a desire to make a real difference and to support people as they navigate challenges, growth, and change.
My approach is compassionate and supportive, while also being direct and intentional. I like to help clients get to the root of what’s going on beneath the surface rather than staying only at a symptom level. I pay close attention to patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and I work with you to explore those patterns so you can gain new insight and perspective. Increased awareness often opens the door to meaningful and lasting change.
At the same time, I believe therapy should feel human and genuine. I bring authenticity and warmth into sessions and allow space for real emotion, whether that means celebrating progress, sitting with grief, or navigating stress together. I also place a strong emphasis on your strengths — what’s already working, what you’ve survived, and the skills you already have — and use those as a foundation for growth.
Most importantly, I want to create an open, non-judgmental dialogue where you can show up honestly, take a chance on yourself, and begin to move forward in a way that feels aligned with who you are.
Starting therapy can bring up a mix of emotions — hope, uncertainty, hesitation, or even skepticism. You may know something needs to change without knowing exactly what that change should look like. What I love about therapy is that you don’t need a clear plan, agenda, or the right words for it to be helpful. Often, progress starts by simply by showing up and allowing space to explore what feels heavy, confusing, or unresolved.
Over time, therapy can help you better understand yourself, your emotions, and the patterns you experience when faced with stress or challenges. As insight grows, many people begin to feel more grounded, confident in decision-making, and able to respond to challenges rather than feeling controlled by them. Change doesn’t always happen all at once. It often unfolds gradually, through small shifts in awareness and perspective.
I believe taking a chance on yourself is an important part of real personal growth. Even when things feel overwhelming, giving yourself full permission to explore, reflect, and intentionally make positive changes can open doors you may not have ever expected. My hope is that through our work together, you begin to feel more connected to yourself and more aligned with the life you want to create.
I often will read a romance, thriller, or historical fiction book (sometimes front-to-cover in one sitting!), cuddle with my two cats (separately because they will fight), re-watch FRIENDS, or get out in nature like a nice hike or trip to the lake. I am a big nature person and find value in that, especially living in Michigan. More broadly, I always try to find a way to laugh and enjoy what’s around me!

You matter.
