Psychiatric Physician Assistant

You deserve to feel your best.

My priority is to create a trusting relationship where we can explore whether medication is right for you. I want to work together to achieve your best possible well-being, honoring your values and preferences every step of the way.

I’m Chris, a Psychiatric Physician Assistant who truly understands that mental health profoundly influences every aspect of a person’s life. I’ve always been deeply intrigued by the connection between lived experiences and mental well-being. You have a unique story, perspective, and set of needs, and I want to collaborate with you in crafting a treatment plan that supports your journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Our initial evaluation will be comprehensive, exploring your mental, physical, social, and spiritual well-being, as all these factors contribute to your overall health. I utilize motivational interviewing techniques to help you identify your own intrinsic motivation for change and to explore any ambivalence you might have about treatment. I believe in shared decision-making, so I’ll provide you with information about evidence-based treatment options, including medication, therapy, and lifestyle changes, and we’ll work together to create a plan that aligns with your individual needs, preferences, and goals.

You can expect regular follow-up appointments so we can monitor your progress and make any necessary changes. I’ll also encourage you to actively engage in your treatment plan outside of our sessions, as long-lasting results often involve a holistic approach.  What I find most fulfilling is the collaborative process of developing truly personalized care. It’s not just about alleviating symptoms — it’s about understanding each individual’s strengths, experiences, and aspirations. My goal is to empower patients to take an active role in their healing, working together to create a plan that feels both meaningful and sustainable. Being a part of someone’s journey toward well-being, growth, and self-discovery is truly an honor, and I am committed to supporting you every step of the way.

When you choose to work with me, you’re choosing a partner who will listen deeply, understand your unique challenges, and empower you to take control of your well-being. Whether you’re seeking relief from depression or anxiety, navigating life transitions, or simply striving for greater self-understanding, I provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your inner world with honesty and vulnerability. I’ll equip you with the tools and strategies you need to create a life filled with meaning, purpose, and joy.

I understand that starting medication or therapy can feel overwhelming, but it can also be incredibly transformative. I’m here to help you navigate all of your concerns in a safe, supportive way.

"Chris is amazing! He is incredibly easy to talk to and he slows down to truly listen to you and your experiences. I've never met a mental health prescriber like this before. He is really different from most."
“Chris really cares. He is nothing like most prescribers nowadays who just prescribe pills without getting to know the patient. Chris goes above and beyond to really get to know you. He remembers things about you. I would tell anyone to see him."
“If you looking for someone who will actually care about you and someone who you will honestly look forward to talking to, you need to see Chris. He is by far the best psychiatric med provider I've ever had."

Healing and wellness are less about a destination and more about a continuous unfolding, a journey of self-discovery and growth that unravels over a lifetime. It’s about cultivating self-awareness, understanding the intricate tapestry of our experiences, and learning to navigate life’s challenges with resilience, self-compassion, and a deep sense of inner wisdom. This journey often involves tending to the interconnectedness of our physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, but ultimately, it’s about finding what brings us a sense of purpose, connection, and belonging in the world.

When someone comes to me for support, I want to explore ALL those different pieces of their life. It’s like this: if your car’s check engine light comes on, it’s a signal that something’s not right under the hood, not just a problem with the lightbulb itself. Similarly, anxiety, stress, or depression can be a sign that something needs attention, adjusting, or healing in our lives. Medication can be a helpful support while we’re working on those underlying issues. Medication can help stabilize your mood and reduce symptoms, while therapy provides a space for you to explore the underlying causes of your struggles, develop coping skills, and build resilience. Depending on your unique journey, if we decide together that medication is the right path, we’ll always aim for the lowest effective dose.

But medication isn’t the only answer; it’s just one tool among many. We’ll work together to create a treatment plan that addresses your specific needs and goals.

It’s a journey, and I’m confident that together, we can help you find healing, growth, and a greater sense of well-being. I believe meaningful change happens when we take the time to understand the whole person, not just the symptoms they’re experiencing. Every individual’s path is different, and treatment should reflect their unique strengths, challenges, values, and experiences.

My ultimate goal is to empower you to live your most fulfilling life, to find joy and balance, and to feel truly well.

FAVORITE SELF-CARE

Self care is how I stay grounded, centered, and ready to take on whatever life throws my way.

  • Physical activity is my ultimate stress buster. It helps me clear the mental clutter, release tension I didn’t even realize I was holding onto, and boost my mood naturally.

  • Podcasts are my way of expanding my horizons, of constantly learning and growing. I love diving into new ideas, and shows like Huberman Lab and The Money Guy Show are both stimulating and practical.

  • I love being in nature. its beauty is profoundly restorative, a reminder of the interconnectedness of all things.

  • Nightly walks with my wife. For me, it’s a time to reconnect with her, decompress from the day, and appreciate the simple magic of being present together.

FUN FACTS

  • I love outdoor activities! Snowboarding, water-skiing, motorcycle riding, scuba diving, hiking, hunting, and more.

  • I lived in Australia for a couple of years.

  • I like to travel to places with warm weather and beaches.

LIFE MOTTO

  • What you don’t change, you choose.

  • Do something today your future self will thank you for.

  • Achievement lays on the other side of discomfort.
