Hope is possible!

It takes a lot of strength and courage to take the first few steps to obtain help and I appreciate you just being here. Sometimes life can feel really overwhelming, and it can be difficult to sort through it all. You don’t have to do it alone! I will hold space for you to be your authentic self and support you while you overcome past and present hardships. I find it an honor to be part of your healing journey. Together, we will explore solutions to gain emotional stability, self-worth, balance, growth, and peace in your life.

In a world where there is so much darkness, I love being able to provide a glimmer of hope and shine a light to others. I love being able to show people that they are not alone and encourage them to be all that they are capable of. It really is a beautiful and rewarding process. I am here to listen to you, support you, encourage you, push you, and at times challenge you! I provide education and share ideas to help you achieve wellness in all areas of your life.

"Amy is SO GOOD with kids! She has all these interactive play therapy things that she does online, like virtual games and art stuff! She actually makes telehealth for kids possible and effective. It's amazing."
"One of the best telehealth therapists for kids and teens. They won't be bored. Amy is really sweet and takes the time to come up with interactive activities for the sessions."
"Amy is especially helpful with emotional regulation skills. Helping people feel calm and in control is one of her talents. She uses all kinds of great things in session to teach coping skills."

Therapy is most helpful when there is a strong foundation of trust and we work as a team to achieve goals that you are ready and willing to work on. I believe you have the inner strength and capability to achieve your wildest of dreams and I am just a small part of your journey. Therapy is so important because life can be overwhelming and challenging at times and everyone can benefit from having someone to talk to who is supportive and empathetic to your thoughts and feelings.

I primarily pull from mindfulness-based and cognitive-behavioral interventions and often encourage continued work outside of session to decrease the impacts of stress, depression, anxiety, anger, and grief. If age-appropriate, I also incorporate play-based and art-based activities to decrease the impacts of stress, depression, anxiety, anger, and grief.

Above all, I strive to make sessions as relaxed and as supportive as possible. I am here to listen and encourage you to explore whatever you would like at a pace you are comfortable with. You can tell me as little or as much as you would like to. What you share is respected, valued, and so brave!
